











The Suisun Marsh Natural History Association is a 501(c)3 non-profit volunteer organization, dedicated to the rescue of native California wildlife and to the preservation of the Suisun Marsh, working through the dual avenues of wildlife rescue & release and environmental education. Our efforts are funded by your donations!

Solano Land Trust has been in the vanguard of protecting Solano County's open space since 1986. To date, SLT has permanently protected 20,041 acres of natural areas and agricultural lands while also stewarding the diverse and important habitats and species on those properties, including many that are threatened and endangered.

Sandy Beach Park sits on the Sacramento River at Rio Vista. Open Year round the park offers 24 hour boat launching ramp, campsites, picnic grounds, a hiking trail and miles of country roads for bicycling.

A 2,070 acre open space located in the Potrero Hills along Grizzly Island Road in the Suisun Marsh featuring a visitor center, blacksmith shop, historical ranching equipment, hiking trails and birding opportunities.

This park encompasses nearly 600 acres of grasslands and oak woodlands. Hikers, mountain bikers, and families enjoy native trees and plants, rock formations and more than 30 miles of tracks, trails, and picnic areas.
Hours of Operation: Open year-round from sunrise to sunset
Putah Creek Fishing Access is located on 150 acres, along a 3.25 mile stretch of Putah Creek and State Highway 128, 7 miles west of the town of Winters. The park offers picnic tables, barbecues, fishing, parking, and sanitary facilities. A day use fee is required.

With habitats ranging from steep grasslands to the riparian corridor of Lynch Creek, the property is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. Buckeyes, oaks and wetland meadows provide shelter for deer, fox, bobcat, waterfowl, and many raptors, including red-tailed and red-shouldered hawks, and the majestic golden eagle. Also of interest are excellent specimens of native grasses and spring wildflowers such as Johnny jump-ups, California poppies, brodiaea, milkmaids, yarrow and lupine. A small reservoir provides a home to muskrats, great blue herons and endangered California red-legged frogs.

Estuarine marsh, hiking, hunting, fishing, and wildlife viewing. Public Access is seasonal for different activities and areas. Call for more information. Public Access $2.50. Under 16 years free.
Hours of Operation: Seven Days a week ; Sunrise to Sunset
A natatorium with retractable roof, a zero-depth entry play area, a lazy river current for fun, therapy, and exercise, and a six-lane activity pool with a slide and diving board. An outside shallow play area for kids including slides, climbing structures, water dumping toys and water spray toys adjacent to a grass area for families to lounge and enjoy the sunshine. Two 30-foot giant pool slides to keep both kids and adults entertained. A group picnic area for large groups to use for the day or rent the entire facility after hours for company parties, school field trips, and special occasions.
