Tickets are now on sale to Wooden Valley Winery's BBQ & Blends event on Aug. 16. An annual celebration, this event is traditionally a sell-out long before the date. It offers a hands-on, unique experience in winemaking. BBQ & Blends will be from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Wooden Valley Winery. Enjoy lunch on the picnic grounds prepared by Chef Daniel Bell of Chef to Go Catering. After lunch, guests will accompany Rick and Ron Lanza into the winery's barrel room, where visitors will learn, first hand, the art of blending wine. Choose between several varietals and design your own personal blend to take home and enjoy. There are a limited number of tickets available and guests are encouraged to purchase them early. Tickets are $40 for club members, $45 general admission. Throughout the summer and fall months, Wooden Valley Winery is also home to "Food Truck Fridays" on the fourth Friday of every month and "Wine & Song Sundays" on the first and third Sunday of the month.
