It's time to celebrate sugar, chocolate and all that is sweet at Jelly Belly's fifth annual Candy Palooza!
This free community event returns Saturday, Sept. 23 and Sunday, Sept. 24 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Located at the Jelly Belly Visitor Center in Fairfield, the free festival celebrates the joy of candy, and offers a myriad of activities and entertainment for the whole family.
Attendees of all ages will enjoy carnival favorites, midway games and delicious food, while adults 21 and over can imbibe beer, or sip wine and nibble on house-made chocolate confections at the Chocolate & Wine Experience. Jelly Belly in residence artist Kristin Cumings will sign autographs. Attendees can also peruse arts and crafts booths, and take in live musical performances throughout both days on the Jelly Belly stage, located outside at the front of the Visitor Center.
Both event admission and parking are free, while some attractions (carnival, midway games, etc) will require a fee.
And remember, complimentary candy factory tours are offered daily, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at One Jelly Belly Lane in Fairfield. Each year, about 500,000 people visit the Jelly Belly Visitor Center at the company’s global headquarters in Fairfield. Most of those guests come to take the free public factory tour. Guests can go at their own pace, exploring the refreshed, colorful ¼-mile-long elevated tour corridor, while observing the candy-making operations on the floor below. HD/4K videos along the way guide visitors through a Jelly Belly jelly bean’s journey, and offer a close-up look at the activities that take place throughout the facility. The public will learn about the entire candy-making process from the kitchen where the candy starts, all the way through to packing the tasty treats into bags and boxes before sending them to stores across the country.
