As reported in the Daily Republic today, The Fairfield Conference and Visitors Bureau, along with the neighboring bureau,Vacaville, will represent the region at the 2013 U.S. Travel Association’s International Pow Wow trade show Saturday through Wednesday in Las Vegas.
Fairfield and Vacaville will be one of the 1,100 exhibitor booths for more than 5,000 international and domestic travel buyers and journalists representing more than 70 different countries. This event makes it possible for the local conference and visitors bureaus to reach out internationally to tour operators in just three days, where it would take years to network otherwise, making this the largest venue to showcase their regions assets throughout the country. Fairfield will share information on the region’s wineries and tourist attractions. The Fairfield Conference and Visitors Bureau is a destination marketing organization created by a Tourism Improvement District to market and promote tourism to the area, including overnight stays. The independent nonprofit is funded by 18 lodging properties in Fairfield.
