Fright Fest brings thrills and chills to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom

It's a spooky time of year as zombies and ghouls take over the Vallejo amusement park for Fright Fest

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom's Fright Fest is the biggest and scariest Halloween event in Northern California!

It's a spooky time of year as zombies and ghouls take over the park every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 23-Oct. 30 and on Monday, Oct. 31. Enjoy thrills and activities for the whole family throughout the day but be aware - once the sun goes down, the 'stuff of nightmares' lurks around every corner. Fright Fest offers a wide variety of places to get your scare on including six haunted mazes (additional fee required), and scare zones throughout the park. As the dark of night washes over the park, the ghouls are set free for their daily hunting rituals.

You won't want to miss live entertainment, as The Awakening, kicks off a night of terror, with monstertainment and thrills all night long. Never before has Six Flags offered so many different live performances during Fright Fest. These shows will leave you howling for more.

Only the bravest of souls date to enter the haunted mazes. You'll be blindsided by darkness as you find your way through the labyrinth all while being hunted -- never knowing what is around the next corner. Are you ready to face your worst fears? If you get lost, no one can hear you scream.  New this year is St. Hades Hospital, where you, the patient, will check in - but will you check out?  Other mazes include Captain Bloat's Shipwreck of Horror, Nightmare Manor, and Scrapyard of the Dead.

There is no "leisurely stroll" during Fright Fest. Terror isn't confined to Haunted Attractions. The ghouls have spread into the streets to "greet" you as you make your way to your next fright. There are zombies and ghouls lurking in every corner just waiting for you. Stay Alert! The scare zones include Arachnid Alley, Sawmill Hollow, and Mt. Rotting Cemetery, and venturing through these areas is free with park admission.

On top of all the Fright Fest offerings, Six Flags has all their thrilling coasters. You'll be screaming as you watch some of your favorites transform for Fright Fest, including Lost Souls of THE JOKER,  Boomerang Coast to Terror, The Medusa Witch, Cobra Monster Mine, and  Thunder Road Zombie Invasion.

Remember, don't come to Fright Fest unprepared--it's not for the faint of heart. Find the details you need for planning your trip, then plan your escape! For more information:
