Although we are still in the middle of winter, spring is not too far away, and with it will come one of Suisun Valley's largest and most popular events of the year - Passport Sunday!

The Suisun Valley Vintners and Growers Association recently announced that the 2019 Passport Sunday event will be on April 14. This annual spring celebration, highlighting the wines, farms, and food in our valley, is a sell-out every year. Tickets will go on sale at a later date to be announced.

Last year, over 1,000 tickets were sold for Passport Sunday. Participants, with their 'passports' in hand, are invited to travel the Suisun Valley 'loop' to the participating tasting rooms, where they can enjoy wine and olive oil tastings, barrel tastings, delicious food pairings, live music, locally produced jam, farm tours, and more. Each location in the valley finds its own way to celebrate Passport Sunday. Last year, there were 12 participating venues, and guests are welcome to travel at their own pace, visiting as many venues as they'd like that day.

Wine enthusiasts from Solano County and beyond have fallen in love with the exploration. Local farmers also join in the fun by showcasing their products, like local olive oils, jams, dried fruits, and nuts.
