"Thursdays on the Green" at the Fairfield Farmers Market returns this week
Are you ready for fresh, delicious produce?
The Fairfield Main Street Association's 2015 "Thursdays on the Green" at the Fairfield Farmers Market season kicks off this Thursday at 3 p.m. For the next five months, you can visit the market in downtown Fairfield every Thursday afternoon, between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., and purchase fresh fruits and vegetables while also enjoying local entertainment, artisans and crafters, children's activities and more.
Bring a frisbee, ball or kite! Spread a blanket out on the lawn and enjoy dinner from one of the food vendors on site. The entertainment schedule will vary throughout the market season but may include live music or youth performances. With the nice breeze on the lawn area, it will be the perfect time to sit outside and enjoy the evening, even on the warmest days.
The market is located on the county lawn at Jackson and Texas Streets. For more information, contact the Fairfield Main Street Association at 707-422-0103. The downtown association is currently searching for artisans, crafters, and food vendors. Vendor applications are available at fairfieldmainstreet.com.
