A sure sign that summer has officially arrived in Fairfield is when the food trucks begin to pull into Wooden Valley Winery on the last Friday in May. It's not long before the crowds come, hundreds of people, of all ages, to enjoy dinner outside with friends, lively music from local bands, and an outstanding Suisun Valley sunset.
Wooden Valley will kick off its 2018 Food Truck Friday series May 25 from 4 to 8 p.m. with an assortment of street food vendors and live music. Grab a bottle (or glass) of wine from the tasting room, order dinner from one of the trucks, and enjoy a night outside. Rhythm Method 4 will perform May 25 and confirmed food vendors include Crossroad Chicken, Crossroad Kitchen, Got Plate Lunch, and Sbarros Wood Fire Pizza.
Once again, Wooden Valley and their partners will continue their Food Truck Friday tradition of giving back. The winery has teamed up with Ron Park of the band Silverback, who is organizing all the live music for the once a month events. Together, they will have raffles at each of the six Food Truck Fridays this year, with proceeds going towards the "Wounded Warrior Project." The goal is to raise $10,000.
Guests are encouraged to arrive early to Food Truck Friday as the picnic tables fill quickly. Sponsored table reservations are now available but must be reserved in advance. No outside food or drink is allowed. Free parking and admission, and all ages welcome. Visitors are encouraged to bring cash for the food vendors.
