Matt Smith, the founder of Blacksmith Cellars, enjoys crafting wines that are complex with the highest quality structure and finish. He started Blacksmith Cellars in 2003, with the release of the 2001 Blacksmith Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. This was truly his own creation, as he did it all, from tending the grapes, hand-sorting and crushing, to punching down, pressing, blending and finally bottling his own wine. Along with his Suisun Valley wines, including Marvin Vineyard Chardonnay and Late Harvest Malvasia Bianca, he also crafts wines from Alexander Valley and Monterey.
Blacksmith Cellars wine tasting is located at Suisun Valley Wine Cooperative in Suisun Valley. These include Chenin Blanc, Torrontes, Verdelho, Chardonnay, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Late Harvest Syrah, and Late Harvest Malvasia Bianca
