Admire our amazing night sky at Rush Ranch, away from the city lights. See distant galaxies, star clusters and constellations. Our Galaxy, our home in the universe. How does our galaxy stack up to others? How do galaxies form? Why is our Galaxy called the Milky Way? These deep sky objects along with types of galaxies will be discussed. The evening begins with an indoor presentation, followed by outdoor telescope viewing.
REGISTRATION: No pre-registration required. (Please arrive on time. We kindly ask any latecomers to dim their headlights as they approach the parking lot.)
WHAT TO BRING: -Warm clothes, and a flashlight with red cellophane
Please note: To protect the night vision of viewers, participants should cover flashlights with red cellophane. Latecomers should dim their headlights. In case of inclement weather, the presentations in the classroom will still be held, but the telescopes will not be set up.
