Stargazing at Rush Ranch

Admire our amazing night sky at Rush Ranch, away from the city lights. See distant galaxies, star clusters and constellations. Today’s discussion includes a Double Feature: Where are the aliens? SETI has been around for over 22yrs but not found anything. Also for the beginner’s, how to start viewing with binoculars or a small telescope and what to expect. The evening begins with an indoor presentation, followed by outdoor telescope viewing.


REGISTRATION: No pre-registration required. (Please arrive on time. We kindly ask any latecomers to dim their headlights as they approach the parking lot.)


COST: Free.


WHAT TO BRING: -Warm clothes, and a flashlight with red cellophane

Please note: To protect the night vision of viewers, participants should cover flashlights with red cellophane. Latecomers should dim their headlights. In case of inclement weather, the presentations in the classroom will still be held, but the telescopes will not be set up.
